World of Warcraft Mining can be confusing when starting out. Despite this, it's still one of the best Professions to begin the game with. That inspired me to write a series of articles dedicated to the Mining Profession so that new gamers aren't confused at the outset. Let's start out with what skills you get, what secondary Professions are the best when combined with Mining, what gear you need to have, and where to find trainers for the Mining skill. Alright, let's go.

WoW mining comes with the two additional skills of Smelting and Finding Minerals. You will get to choose a secondary profession, for mining these are the best secondary professions:

* Blacksmithing

* Jewelcrafting

* Engineering

These Professions need materials that you can only get through Mining, because of this they make excellent secondary Professions and will help you immediately. Without the Mining Profession you will have to buy the materials and that gets really expensive.

Get yourself a Mining Pick. Once you get it you will need to train in the Mining skill. Here is a list of mining trainers and where they are located:

There it is, that's a quick way to begin your World of Warcraft Mining Profession. Now all you need to do is get your skill level up.
